Psychosocial Rehabilitation (PSR)

Structured, skills-based services helping individuals with serious mental illness develop the functional abilities needed for independent living and full community participation.

What Is PSR?

Psychosocial Rehabilitation (PSR) is a structured, evidence-based service designed to help individuals with serious mental illness develop or restore the functional skills needed for independent living. Sessions focus on medication management, symptom coping strategies, interpersonal communication, daily living skills, and employment readiness.

PSR is delivered individually or in group formats by qualified behavioral health professionals. Services are tailored to each participant's person-centered plan and recovery goals.

Who We Serve

PSR services are available to adults and youth in Alamance County and surrounding areas enrolled in North Carolina Medicaid with a qualifying behavioral health diagnosis. Services are authorized through the individual's LME/MCO.
